What is counselling? - it is a safe place to discuss what has brought you to therapy.  This might include talking about life events, feelings and emotions.  The counsellor will help you to look at your personal difficulties and either help you resolve them or help you find ways of coping.

Why have counselling? - usually people choose to have counselling because they are experiencing difficulties or distress.  Talking in confidence to a counsellor who is independent to your situation can help.

What can they help with? -  the types of issues which can be difficult to deal with include bereavement, childhood issues, relationships, redundancy, health issues, bullying and so on.  There does not have to be a crisis before choosing to have counselling.

Cairns Counselling provides one to one counselling to adults and couples.
