Community Midwives

Our practice-attached community midwives are Tanya and Marion.

Tanya and Marion are based at the Maternity Hospital (Telephone 01224 552071). They usually hold clinics at the practice 3 times per week, on Monday and Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday mornings.

Community Nurses

We work very closely with our local district nursing teams who carry out nursing care for housebound patients. These visits are normally authorised by the GPs.

Health Visitors

We also work closely with our health visiting team.

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.  They also have an important role in Child Protection.

The team can be contacted on 01224 283944. If they are unavailable then please leave a message on their answering machine.
